The Engineering Division is responsible for the  Right-of-way construction and coordinating with the Public Works Department of the City's numerous roads, along with the traffic signals and signs that support them. The Engineering Division issues permits for all work performed within the public right-of-way while work performed on private property is permitted through the Building Department. The Engineering Division also operates the City of Sweetwater Stormwater Utility to ensure the efficient management of the stormwater runoff within City boundaries.
