COVID-19 VACCINATION SITE IN SWEETWATER
Sweetwater, Florida (April 20, 2021) – Mayor Orlando Lopez is exhilarated to announce that the City of Sweetwater will once again become a designated COVID-19 vaccination site. Mayor Lopez joined forces this time with the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the Florida Department of Health, and Curative.
The vaccination site will distribute the Moderna vaccine and will be open starting Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m at Ronselli Park, 250 SW 114th Avenue, FL, 33174 and will be CLOSED ON SUNDAYS.
The site dates are open-ended, as a closure date is yet to be determined and we will update you once those dates become available. The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is administered as a 2-dose series, 28 days apart, into the muscle.
This site is walk-ups ONLY. ONCE WE REACH CAPACITY OF DOSES PER DAY THE LINE WILL BE CLOSED.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
· 18 years old and above
· Florida resident (Proof of residency must be provided)
Wait times will vary each day, and in some cases, lines may be long. We recommend bringing chairs, comfortable shoes as well as refreshments, sunscreen, and hats for your convenience.
